After attending the Metropolitan Conference Championship at Rutgers University this past weekend, the Lions dominated the 19-team field as the men’s and women’s teams finished first and second, respectively. The title for the men marked their seventh consecutive and 16th overall in program history.

Bishop cares about more than wins

When one talks to swimming head coach Brian Bishop, there are several intriguing qualities. One in particular, however, stands out. It is not his love for the sport of swimming and it is not his strive to always be the best — it is obvious that Coach Bishop exemplifies those traits. Rather, it is the fact that Bishop may be one of the most humble men at the College.

High five to swimming as College wins

Both the men’s and women’s swim teams at the College knew early on that some of their toughest competition would come against Rowan University and Stevens Institute of Technology. With just 24 hours separating matchups between their main rivals, the Lions had a difficult task at hand. The men took full advantage of that opportunity as they swept the Owl’s 162-123 and the sixth-ranked Ducks 151-111, taking the New Jersey Athletic Conference for the fifth straight year in the process.

College scores win for Bishop’s 200th

This past Saturday proved to be a big day for the Lions, as both the men and women conquered William Paterson University by scores of 171-100 and 194-84, respectively. This was no typical victory, however, as it marked the 200th win for the men’s head coach, Brian Bishop.
