College gets the lighter side of literature at SRS

The Student Reading Series (SRS) this past Thursday was nothing if not surprising. What else should one expect of a series that allows students to read anything in their fiction or poetry catalogues?

No love for Levinson at Concert Series

The Television Studio in Kendall Hall was disappointingly lacking a big audience as the fourth show in the WTSR and Lions Television (LTV) Concert Series began. This, however, did not stop 22-year-old singer/songwriter Justin Levinson from performing as though he were trying to impress a packed house at Madison Square Garden.

Performers give recital-goers reason to rave

After the final note was played, the room exploded into cheers. The music department’s first recital series of the semester, held this past Wednesday in the Ernest E. Mayo Concert Hall, had been a success.

Peter Arboleda, junior music education major, and Gregory Beckley, junior music major, played the cello and the clarinet, respectively.

Trentones tryouts toil through the tone-deaf

After her audition on Wednesday night for the Trentones, Carly Cosentino, junior chemistry major, admitted to being nervous.

But who wouldn’t be? The Trentones, the College’s a capella group, sing without instruments, leaving performers with nothing to define them but their god-given voices.
