In its never-ending quest to promote the latest up-and-coming music to the college demographic, mtvU held its fourth annual Woodie Awards on Nov. 12 at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom. As someone who’s been pretty active in the college music field for the past three years, I was able to look past the teleprompted Woodie jokes and industry self-congratulation to realize a struggle for supremacy.

Voting rights are crucial to all Americans, Doug Forrester argued, but especially to the disabled. “If you didn’t vote, don’t complain,” Forrester said, quoting the popular bumper sticker.
