Students face three percent tuition raise

In accordance with the state’s current tuition and fee parameters, the College Board of Trustees, during their July 7 board meeting, approved an overall three percent tuition increase for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Originally proposed by President R. Barbara Gitenstein, the three percent increase was the maximum tuition limit suggested to the Governor’s office last spring.

Immigration tolerance and awareness spread

A forum on immigration titled “The Effect Immigration has on New Jersey and Our Country,” was co-hosted by Unión Latina and the Bonner Center on April 15. The forum was held as a part of this month’s Latino Awareness Celebration.

SGA recognizes TCNJ Saathiya

The Student Government Association (SGA) returned to the College campus for their general body meeting last Wednesday and officially recognized four new campus organizations: Gamma Sigma Epsilon, TCNJ Outreach, TCNJ Saathiya and Spanish Club.

Gamma Sigma Epsilon, a co-ed honor society for chemistry majors, “recognizes excellence in freshman and sophomore chemistry courses,” Carleton Collins, president of Gamma Sigma Epsilon, said.
