The week before graduation, members of the class of 2009 will spend time with their friends one more time before they leave the College. While some will participate in Senior Week at the College, others have chosen an alternate route.
A group of Bonner Scholar seniors will use the week before graduation to volunteer.

Last Wednesday night, freelance writer, author and veteran of the magazine industry Melissa Walker was in the basement of the Business Building to talk about her experiences as a writer and how to break into freelancing.
Walker gave helpful tips on how to begin what could be a lucrative career as a freelance writer.

The Bod Squad presented their Esteem Pageant last Thursday evening as one event highlighting National Eating Disorders Awareness Week. It was an alternative to a traditional beauty pageant, one that focused on inner rather than outer beauty.
“It is meant to show that not all pageants should be about outer beauty, but the beauty that each unique individual has within themselves,” Lauren Lorenzo, junior communication studies major and co-president of Bod Squad, said.

The organization Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) along with co-sponsor Phi Kappa Psi are looking to put on the biggest and most successful Relay For Life at the College, April 3 to 4. Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature overnight fundraising event, raising money for cancer research.

Guest speakers, a bone marrow donor drive and a special service helped members of Hillel/Jewish Student Union (JSU) remember the horrors of the Holocaust during Holocaust Remembrance Week, commemorated at the College from Nov. 10-14.
The week, which occurs annually, coincides with the anniversary of Kristallnacht, or the “Night of Broken Glass,” during which synagogues, Jewish businesses and homes in Germany were destroyed by fire and looting vandals.
