Individual reports theft of art sculpture
At around 2:52 p.m. on Nov. 1, a female individual arrived at Campus Police Headquarters to report theft of her property. She stated that on Oct. 23 at approximately 3 p.m., she placed her sculpture head piece in the Art and Interactive Multimedia Building for display and left it there until Nov. 2 at 10:00 a.m. When she went back to take it down, she noticed that about 10 Jump Stone Vintage Turquoise stones that were incorporated in the piece were removed. She was unable to provide the value of the stones at the time of the report. She states someone would have needed a tool to remove the stones.

Police respond to intoxication of non-College student
On Nov. 3 at approximately 1 a.m., Campus Police responded to the rear entrance of Travers Hall on a report of a student not enrolled at the College who was intoxicated and throwing up. The dispatcher advised Campus Police that TCNJ EMS and Ewing EMS had been called to the same entrance.

Upon arrival, Campus Police met with the College student who reported to TCNJ Dispatch that the non-College student was intoxicated and needed medical attention.

Campus Police observed that the non-College student was sitting on the ground alert and conscious. When questioning her, her speech was slurred and the odor of alcohol emanated from her breath. She admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages earlier that evening at an off-campus location. She stated that she consumed approximately one water bottle’s worth of Bacardi rum mixed with lemonade.

TCNJ Dispatch advised Pro Staff of the incident. TCNJ EMS arrived on scene, assumed patient care, evaluated the student and was unable to clear her. At approximately 1:10 a.m., she was taken to a hospital for further evaluation. She was not issued a “B” summons due to immunity of prosecution under section 2C:3-15.f. (1) of the New Jersey criminal code statutes.
