A new Netflix documentary, “Amanda Knox,” premiered on Friday, Sept. 30. The film follows Knox’s story of international crime and murder. Knox opens up about her experience in the Italian judicial system and explains her side of her 53-hour interrogation.

“I was hit on the back of the head, I was yelled at. Police were coming in and out of the room telling me that I was a liar,” she said. “It was chaos. It was utter chaos.”

Knox and her then-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, were charged in 2007 with the death of 21-year-old British student Meredith Kercher, who was sexually assaulted and found fatally stabbed in the Italian apartment she shared with Knox. In the Netflix documentary, Knox said that she knows she will never be free from the case, but is looking to the future and wants to help others who have been wrongly convicted.
