On Tuesday March 22 at 10:45 a.m., Campus Police was dispatched to Brower Student Center on a report of a theft.

Upon arrival, the officer met with a manager of Sodexho Corp. who reported the crime.

The woman told officers that sometime between 6:15 and 10 a.m., an unknown person removed 27 bottles of ketchup, 27 bottles of mustard and 6 baskets filled with salt, pepper and napkins from the Student Center dining area.

The woman did not identify any suspects, but told the officer that theft of this nature has been common in her term as manager.

There is no further information at this time.

On Tuesday March 22 at 9:20 p.m., Campus Police was on routine patrol when an officer observed two male students crossing the street carrying two gym bags and a brown paper bag.

When the students saw the police vehicle, they ran into the Recreation Center and down to the basement.

Campus Police then watched as the students ran out the back door without the bags.

After a search of the area, the officer found two gym bags and clothing from the students in a trashcan.

The bags contained an assortment of alcoholic beverages, including a 30 pack of Coors Light, an 18 pack of Budweiser and one pint of Goldschlager.

Also in the bags were the accused students’ IDs.

At 10:10 p.m., the students were located and turned themselves in.

They were transported to Campus Police headquarters and charged with underage possession of an alcoholic beverage.

Photographs were taken of the alcohol and then it was destroyed.

On March 19 at 2:15 a.m., Campus Police was dispatched to the pump house near Cromwell Hall on a report of suspicious behavior.

Upon arrival, an officer observed two males running from the pump house.

Campus Police then spoke with the two males and a female student, who were observed kicking the pump house door.

There was no new damage to the door.

At this time, officers noticed the three students attempting to conceal alcoholic beverages.

Campus Police ordered the students to empty their pockets, and they complied.

However, one male student told Campus Police, “Why do you have to be a dick, we are cooperating.”

The officers detected a slur in the student’s speech and a smell of alcohol.

The student was then handcuffed and placed in a patrol car.

The officers confiscated the alcoholic beverages and ordered the other two students to leave the premises.

The male student was transported to Campus Police headquarters and issues an ordinance for possessing and consuming an alcoholic beverage underage.

The student was transported by Campus Police back to Cromwell Hall at 3 a.m. and ordered not to leave his room until the next morning.

All alcohol was destroyed at Campus Police headquarters.

On Thursday March 17 at 11:40 p.m., Campus Police was dispatched to Wolfe Hall in response to a medical emergency.

Upon arrival, an officer observed a female student vomiting in a trashcan.

An investigation revealed that while roving the halls, the two Community Advisors (CA) saw the student fall on the floor by room 521.

The CAs contacted the necessary staff, and Lions EMS personnel treated the student.

When officers arrived and attempted to question the student about the amount of alcohol she had consumed and the location where she had consumed it, the student was incoherent.

At this time, professional staff was notified and decided to transport the student to Mercer Medical Center for further treatment. Pennington EMS arrived and transported the student at midnight.

While investigating the incident, Campus Police discovered two bottles of vodka and one bottle of schnapps in the student’s freezer. Each bottle was 1/4 full and was confiscated at this time.

All alcohol was destroyed at Campus Police headquarters.
