Genealogy: It’s all in the family

The presidential campaign is already getting heated and President and Republican candidate George W. Bush and Democratic candidate John Kerry are vehemently denying that they have anything in common. Their principles, their policies and their personalities are worlds apart.

However, two genealogists have backtracked both Bush’s and Kerry’s family histories. What did they come up with? They’re cousins.

Well, 16th cousins thrice removed, but they’re related nonetheless. Genealogists believe that if history is traced back far enough, almost everyone is related.

Kerry and Bush both have ties to Charlemagne, Walt Disney and Marilyn Monroe.
